MGLTools v 1.5.7rc1 is Very Slow.

Hello,

This is in the way of a preliminary question. I have upgraded my Linux computer to a AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor on a M5A97 R2.0 AUSU MB with 8 MB of RAM. I am running MGLTools v-1.5.7rc1 which has become excruciatingly slow! I find the same very slow execution of v-1.5.6. The OS is Debian GNU/Linux 7.1.0 Wheezy. I have been using MGLTools in various versions for quite some time now without any problems pertaining to speed of execution.
The question, at this point, is what additional information is necessary for the diagnosis and solution of the problem?

Any help will be apprecited.

no auto-reconnect after internet outage?

Hello,

My ooma telo is set up between the cable modem and router and typically works fine. Occasionally we will lose the internet connection like last night our cable went out. Once the connection was restored, the cable modem recovered just fine but the ooma was still flashing red. I had to manually power cycle the ooma telo for it to get a connection again. The router did not need to be rebooted. I did a live chat with ooma support and the rep said this was normal. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there some configuration change I can make so that the ooma can just automatically reconnect?

Raspberry Pi 3 not connecting to internet through ethernet

Hello,

I have 2 routers with a Lan to Lan connection, with DHCP server enabled on the main one and disabled on the second. My raspberry pi 3 is connected to the second router, and it is unable to connect to the internet. I can connect to the internet through my laptop on the with the same connection, but not with the pi. I am able to connect to the raspberry pi through VNC (192.168.1.105), and I can connect to both router admin pages (at 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2) but not to the internet. I've tried connecting it to the main router, but there is no difference. I can see it in the network of the second router, but it doesn't appear at all in the main router.

Computer motherboard replacement and licence issue

Hello,

My computer needs a new motherboard so I guess there must be a procedure by which Mecsoft can de-register one computer and register another. I've had several disc crashes in the past, and the third time it happened, they as good as accused me of stealing their software and were very unhappy to give me a new licence! I don't want to be in that position again, and this time I can schedule the swap. Does anyone know how to go about this so it can be done seamlessly without losing days while the licence is sorted out for the new configuration?

Please help

Motherboard issue/question

Hello,

Long time lurker here, first time poster. I think I have an idea of what is wrong here but I would like confirmation please. I have an old LGA 2011 socket motherboard (Gigabyte hand me down) with a Xeon E5-2620-v2 with 32 gigs of DDR3 1600 ram, a EVGA 1050 PSU, 2 Nvidia 980 ti's. I do mostly rendering with it. The issue is on Sunday the system failed to boot once. After unplugging it for a moment it booted up and I went on with my life. On Monday the same thing happened only it refused to boot period for several attempts, then it did only the screen was green, fuzzy and with artifacts everywhere. I thought of several possible things, PSU, MOBO and the GPU attached to the display. The first thing I did was unplug the GPU the monitor was connected to and the system booted fine. Furthermore I have an old GTX 970 and I plugged it in the same slot and everything seemed fine until this morning. Today I have the same issue, so i immediately took out the 970 only the problem persists. If I unplug it for several minutes, it will boot up 'sometimes' but on the last attempt it wouldn't. So I am looking for confirmation of these symptoms, I belive now that the mobo needs to be replaced, which sucks as it is hard to find one. So I am looking at a Ryzen system if I need to replace the entire processing backbone (mobo, ram, cpu) as the price point and performance reviews seem good for rendering.

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

CPU / Motherboard problem

Hello,

My build-
Processor - Intel core i7 3770k clocked at 3.50 GHz
Motherboard - ASUSTek COMPUTER INC. P8Z77-M PRO Rex 1.xx
Memory - Memory chip Kingston from 8 GB 667 MHz X2 ( aka 16GB )
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti
My CPU fan - OEM Intel
Hello, I've been having troubles for months, and after replacing my PSU, refreshing drivers, running memtest 86, cleaning, there's still the same problem. It's probably in the CPU/Motherboard area. Games stop responding/computer blue screens/shuts down a few minutes after starting up any game, not even heavy ones. We ran the "OCCT" CPU testing program, upon testing on the CPU on 100% the computer blue screened, and in further tests it lasted for 30-70 seconds until it reached 85+ degrees.
Point is I don' think that in-game the CPU heats up enough for the game to stop operating (or for the computer to) / blue screen / crash? Or it might be a motherboard/cpu defect? Is the CPU cooling the problem?

Please help

The motherboard shuffle: swapping without reinstalling Windows

Hello,

I need to upgrade the 6 year old mobo (and consequently the CPU) in my media center PC so I can add a modern graphics card for doing some Steam big picture gaming on the couch. What I have is a Windows 7 PC running Windows Media Center with a Clarkdale i3-530 on an H57 mobo, and I have no real reason to upgrade to Windows 8 and won't upgrade to Windows 10 since I would lose WMC. I also have a 3.5 year old desktop running Windows 10 with an Ivy Bridge i5-3570K on a Z77 mobo. So I'm planning on injecting a new mobo+CPU into this mix and I figure the 3.5 year old mobo+CPU will have better Windows 7 support, so I'm thinking my best option is to move the Ivy Bridge/Z77 setup into the media center and buy something new for the desktop. My main question is will it be possible to do these hardware upgrades while leaving the HDDs/SSDs in place and not reinstalling Windows on either machine? Is there a process that I should follow where I would uninstall all the old mobo- and CPU-related drivers before doing the hardware swap, then install all the new drivers after the hardware swap? Or can I just leave all the existing drivers installed then install the new drivers over the top? Am I creating more trouble for myself by attempting this?

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Screen display problems with flickering horizontal lines

Hi,

I've been having a problem with my screen for a few months now. When I open or close the display, or sometimes even just move it a little, gray, black and white lines flicker horizontally and randomly across the screen. Quite often the lines are fairly broad and sometimes are just faded strips of what was being displayed right before the flickering started.
For the moment i can make it stop by shifting the screen again or wiggling it back and forth until the flickering stops.
What is wrong with the display?
And is there a more permanent fix I could try?

Please help.
